Macallan 1963 Special Selection / Rinaldi Import

Macallan single malt that was distilled in 1963 and was the first release to be bottled by the Macallan distillery after they took over the bottling process from Campbell, Hope & King. Fratelli Rinaldi import for the Italian market.

Macallan vintage releases produced by Campbell, Hope & King tended to be aged around the 15-year-old mark, but when Macallan took over the responsibility in 1980s, they experimented for a few releases with more advanced age-statements before settling on the 18-year-old as the optimum maturation. The classic 18-year-old distillery bottling was launched four years later.
